Body font that complements the logo font.

Hi Everyone,

Ok I am working on a lotion bottle for a client. Currently she is using Peignot Light for her logo font and wants to use the same font for the body copy. I told her that would be insane because the fonts uses small caps in its letters and some letters would make the line spacing to big.

Could someone recommend a font that looks good on the body copy but also lends itself to the logo font?

Thanks
Rick

When she is so fond on the Peignot Light she might also like the Optima Roman.

I was thinking optima! Maybe I will recommend that!

Thanks!

Optima would be great, but it's a bit overused, and boring these days. Maybe a medium to high contrast serif font that fits well with Peignot?

Think winty and then think again. The customer wants Peignot Light for bodytext. As rickman rightfully says, that is insane as it would result is all caps. The Optima, specially for a lotion, is then a perfect alternative and far from over-used. In fact it is rarely used nowadays. Of course there are serifs that will go well with the Peignot Light. But then it should be an elegant one, attractive to females with out becoming girly. A high contrast one would not do that job. Ask a local typedirector. Yes, there are still some around.
Apart from yet another discussion with a customer that has already made up her mind.

Okay. Maybe I was wrong about that. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
