There are similar, sort of, but not free for commercial use.
I keep wondering, when you and others want to make money using others creations then why is it so difficult to pay a little money for the right to do so? Is that little investment really making your - future - business impossible? If so probably better to give up your whole business idea. No investment ... no business ...

couple of points for u.

the font i am looking for is actually part of my logo that was designed by a marketing company in spain, where i note u r based, that company has since gone bust, like so many companies here.

my over trusting nature never looked at the fine print of the contract. needless to say i don´t own the rights to my own logo and neither my old website! harsh lesson learnt.

i had already paid for the rights to this font when this company made my logo and my website.

i do not like to pay for the same thing twice.

in the case of this font, if there is no other option then i will, but as there r sites like fontsquirrel etc i assumed that it is a common path.

i apologise if i offended ur sensibilities.

note: don´t bother to reply, if u have nothing constructive to add then pls don´t waste my time.

i will though add something constructive for u for ur future posts/responses. you should always find out WHY someone is doing what they’re doing before u assume or even make the decision of what they’re is wrong. Ask questions first and make conclusions later.

sorry, but you didn't paid the license to use this font,you paid for a creation : the logo. If you don't have the vector / high quality version of this logo this is all your fault and if you need this font to redraw your logo, you'll need to pay for the font license. It's like complaning about your used tires and wanting new ones for free because you bought the car with four tires!

An other solution : each site of font selers have the possibility to test the fonts and create a sample.
Go to http://www.linotype.com/44394/clearfacegothic45light-font.html and clic on "Create sample".
You create a sample of your logo size 100 and you save it with a screen copy.

Go hunt for the Brendel Informatik collection. It includes Softmaker's Clear Gothic.
While hunting you may stumble upon WSI's Clearface Gothic. A close to perfect reproduction of the original, but no kerning pairs and thus unfit for body text - exactly where this type excels ...
The hunt may take you several hours, the collections do not float around anymore as they used to. So maybe buying may in the end be a more efficient solution.
Can't afford the time or the money? Shut down the business. Can't be a real money-maker.

On SMS thumbs spelling, it is considered highly impolite. As impolite as the Spanish all caps shouting. Using that spelling you're not making a point. You're loosing one.

landed on this page by accident but amazed how some people can actually start a fight over nothing.

who cares how the guy types? but if you are going to start an argument over nothing, you need to be damn sure that your bases are covered that nothing can be thrown back at you ....
