Can anyone tell me what this font is, or who makes it? You can see a small logo in the lower righthand corner and some text at the bottom (roman caps?). Any help anybody can give me would be very, very much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

It's a font by The Roman Empire. They've been out of the business for a while.

Just kidding... I don't know the exact source of your sample but it is indeed inspired by the letters found on the Trajan column pictured above. Many typefaces are based on these letters. Adobe Trajan is one. Goudy Trajan has a similar fell.
Thanks, all. Yeah I'd gotten as far as Roman caps but my company has already been using this particular font (which is missing some letters) and if I can't find somewhere to download it, I'm going to have to make it. (Which means making an x out of the w, etc.). This was my attempt to save myself some time...
What do we think that small triangle in the corner is? It seems like a logo of some sort but I have no way of tracing what it means.
Thanks!
The letters look hand drawn, or printed from wood or metal type. It explains the rough edges and some small ink blots. Most of the letters have different heights and/ or baselines, suggesting further that this is not a font sample. I see "Roman Caps" from the clipped text at the bottom, as well.
