Thanks for noticing this post.
If you check out the photos of License plates from the Internet,
you will pretty easily notice that there is no relation at all with DIN 1451 Mittelschrift even if it looks like.

I just suggested a font for the images you posted. According to http://www.leewardpro.com/articles/licplatefonts/licplate-fonts-eur.html, DIN 1451 was the font employed. Try Numberplate France, a replica of the current French Number Plate font.

What you can't actually know, Fonatica, is that the license plates have changed a few years ago here So Numberplate France is actually ok for older plates. For the new ones, I think we already had one or two threads a few months but I'm not sure.
